I love it man!!! I think, oddly, this time the mastering is almost overdone causing a bit of clipping/peaking at times but it still sounds amazing man! You should upload to itunes, spotify, etc. DistroKid is a really good distributor for that stuff! Keep it up.

Thanks men!!!
I really appreciate your opinion about my song!!!!
OK i'll try that

Pretty cool! I like the sort of nostalgia here, but I do think that you hugely copied the original track too much, I like it but I think you should use less elements from the original, it almost sounds like you just changed some notes.

AlphaStormMusic responds:

Yeah, really I changed the key a little, I did directly copy the flow of the song. I did kinda want to capture the spirit of Dimrain, but maybe if I executed it better that would work better.

Thanks all the same :)

Really digging the new groove style! My only issue would be the phasing on the organ, other than that, great job!

Kaskrin responds:

Thanks brah. Yea the panning on it does seem a bit much, not something I did intentionally :(

I like the newer BPM! Though I feel like this track is a bit empty on the percussive end, that could be fixed with some hats, etc. I like the different sounds you have on the chorus though! Also, the melody is pretty cool but the piano doesn't sound right for that melody. Maybe up an octave? But this is pretty good man! I think you should try DnB next ;)

Kaskrin responds:

Thanks brah, I'll do my best. I'm working on another right now, but I'll try DnB after that.

Sick man! I love this sick style you've been up to! This one is especially great, I think the off pith growl on the drop is a bit offsetting though, but it also adds to the 'fallout' vibe! Also the drum fill-ins work great, though I think you should work on some drumstep style shit, some faster beats would make this amazing man. Keep it up!

Kaskrin responds:

Thanks dude, yea I'm considering switching it up a bit in the future.

Dude. I guess the sole purpose of this would be for geometry dash. But c'mon, posting the video link doesn't mean you didn't steal it. And I'm atleast like 90% sure that these "How To" songs are not only not allowed on NG, but are really degrading to the original artist. I suggest that you remake it not by vocals. But I guess if it's fun for you, you can sing it. Just don't post it as your own.

BraydenGD responds:

yeah i think I should credit waterflame.
EDIT: This is allowed. As long as it isn't blasting an eardrum or doesn't have the real song in it, it's allowed. This doesn't have any of that, so it's safe to say it looks promising this wont get removed.
Have a nice day.

It's a cool concept you have made here, nice melody to it, just feels really out of key sometimes. :\
Here are some tips from me:
-Work on your mastering, here how at 0:55 the song gets somewhat corrupted? That's either clipping (which can be intentional) or peaking (which is also possibly intentional, but not good). I think if you were to work on your mastering, my review would be worth another half a star or maybe a whole star more!
-Stay in key! It sounds like you are using other melodies and songs, and they all have different keys.
-Avoid MIDI rips, I heard some star wars in there and on this site you're not allowed to use a MIDI rip, while I don't know exactly the rights on the MIDI you used.
-Work on your vocals, they sound very out of beat.
Honestly other than this, it's a cool idea you started with but it progressed to something weird when you used different styles.
I would suggest investing some time on youtube looking into music theory or even taking a class if you are that about it! Good luck with you future tracks though! Cheers,

FERNANDPRO responds:

Thanks for reviewing, first thing: I am using LMMS, second thing: thanks, third thing: I made a second version of this... and I am going to remaster this in a month, I have discovered very interesting things in LMMS, four thing: check my other music Ambition and Wisdom.
I used MIDI to honor FNAF, an old good and original game, what's now in the trash

Nice job so far! I think you got a cool atmosphere going here! Though I do think you could improve a lot, here are my tips:
-Stick to the regular DnB beat, .K___.S___.__K_.S___ (The "." marks the start of a new bar, the underscores are 1 beat)
-Get some more bass in there other than subs, it's clear there is some bass, just not terribly audible in the mixing.
-Improve the mixing, the song is pretty quiet, that often happens from cancellation, I can tell you really wanted room for the bass though! But just be sure to use up that space with louder bass (like growls, etc).
I really like what you got going though! Keep it up man :)

Trell13 responds:

thanks for the response :)

I really like what you have going here! Some funky vibes, though I think you overdid the piano a bit, cuts off too sharply. But those vocals are great! This future house is pretty nice, I haven't heard any good future house in a long while, hope this genre makes a come back, which it seems to be doing already! Back to the track, the piano sounds a bit off-key around 1:15-1:17, which kind of interrupts the song awkwardly in my opinion. And the legato strings in the second build-up are really awkward on their own, especially the single note sweeping up extremely fast. Good job though dude! Hope to see more future house on NG :)

Schtiffles responds:

The part around 1:15 is actually a pitch shift of the entire song to distract from the key change of the interlude, but I agree it's awkward, I spent a long time trying to make it sound better but kinda gave up lol. Also, the quick-sweeping bits you mentioned aren't actually strings, they're just plain saws with reverb, and I really like the way they sound, but I guess it's just down to personal taste there haha (same with the piano cutoff, I find the glitchy effect to be satisfying :P). Thanks for the critique though, really appreciate it. I spent a long time on this one so I'm glad to see someone give it such a thorough listen :)

This is some amazing cinematic stuff man! I have been trying at this type of music for so long and you seemed to get it down! I love the use of strings and the sudden halts! The pluck is also very pretty, this would make for a great trailer! Though maybe up the volume a bit and make the percussion stand out more. Also the emotion shifts a bit awkwardly, but it's still great nonetheless!

JessieYun responds:

Hi PassarinoT,

Thank you so much for such detailed review! I'm really glad you enjoyed the track, means a lot to me. And thanks for the advice also! I'll try to improve more on my future tracks.

Not too good at things. I try to write music.
