Something about this brings back a good nostalgic feeling... I love it! The tune itself is pretty catchy, very good in that manner. Feels quite relaxing yet keeps you entertained and hooked. Although the drums could've been a bit more creative IMO, you still did a mad good job!

Iviqrr responds:

Glad you like it, the drums are a little too campy, percussion is not my strong suite. Thanks for the kind words.

I love it :o!!! Very good vocals mixed with the orchestral elements, would recommend to any god or goddess for representation of human music.

Geoplex responds:

hahaha thank you <3

Truly amazing work! I feel like it is a great example of inspiration, not a total copy, but also a clear hint of an artist is shown in it.
Though the mastering sounds a bit muddy at parts, usually with the orchestral drums and just bass drum itself. The bass drum/kick sounds excessively punchy. But I do love what you have going here! Keep it up mate!

Sylux03 responds:

Thanks dude! I'll keep that in mind. ;)

I do love what you have started here! To be honest though using that piano from nexus is a risky move sometimes lol. I have a track I made a few years ago with that exact chord and sidechained the same way so I actually thought this was one of my songs at first lmao. I would say you should try and get creative with the pianos, they're not necessary and can always be replaced by pads of sorts. I love the pan flute you brought in though! The portamento on it is a nice touch, the melody is also fun and fits the bill of the vibe you were making here.

Overall, I would say just try and expand your library of plugins and such. Also, nice lead layering with the pan flute! Very good touch. Though I don't think that kick fits this type of a song to be honest.

Chliz responds:

Yea, I'm pretty new to this genre so I went for something generic and simple. I will try something more complex next time!

I dig it. I feel like at times it can be a lil bit repetitive at times but that's alright! Also, the mixing is ok but it could use some adjustments at times. I love it though because it almost feels nostalgic. I don't personally find the piano to be fitting though. But maybe that's just your kink ;) Jk lmao but keep it up man! I love this style.

Froej responds:

thanks for this awesome feedback, friend :D

A very fun tune! The mix is also kinda dynamic, so that is a good thing. Could always be more dynamic though! I like the melodies here. Certainly chiptune if I ever heard it. I dig it! keep up the good work.

ThatIronSquid responds:

If you read the description you can see what happened with the mix lol

Personally, this doesn't sound like any specific genre, rather a mix. But if you do not know what genre it is, then I suggest classifying it as an "original mix"! I like the concept here, sounds like a chill EDM track with a hint of trap to it. Your chords sound alright and your mix is not bad, but it could definitely be more dynamic, but it is a good step in the right direction! Keep it up!

Thanks, i really appreciate your comment. :)

I like the idea you have going man. Very nice, but I feel like more time should be invested in the mix and also making the chords more diverse and it is the same 2 chords over and over. But this does have potential! I was slightly confused when the buildup led to another buildup but that's a sorta uncommon thing but a unique way to go about buildups. I suggest maybe using more instruments too and a melody could make this very good too!

Lot7even responds:

Thanks for the review! As for the chords, you, I should fix that.

I like it! This is actually really cool what you did! I don't often see DnB when I am on NG, maybe just not looking hard enough, but you truly did capture the idea of chaos in this track. Though the bridge is really awkard, I feel like those two could be good different songs. The percussion in the bridge is also a bit awkward though. Also you didn't really have a terribly exciting buildup, I would suggest more risers and making the range more dynamic and maybe adding a highpass leading up to the drop.

Dragonov7733 responds:

Thanks for the review! I’ll consider what you have said and try to improve on them if those problems arise. There were definitely were some problems with transitioning out of the bridged midsection. So yeah, i’m glad you came to criticise. :P

I love it so much man! But I also a, giving it a 4.5 as I feel like one of your strengths is also a weakness at the same time. That is not saying it is bad! But, to me, it sounds as though you always keep the same general sounds/instruments and it is a good style, it is almost nostalgic to me at this point! But at 1:10, I almost overhear that same type of buildup from you in most songs, and while you absolutely kill it with that type of buildup in the best way, it would be nice to see you do something else! :) But your mixing is on fucking point man! And same with your orchestral sections :P
-PassarinoT :)

Geoplex responds:

So I do think you're right. I use my distorted long release lead in those buildups a lot too. I think they vary in unimportant ways but are fundamentally similar. The new song I'm releasing this week has a buildup like this, but after that I'll more consciously try to vary them a bit.

Thanks for the feedback my dude

Not too good at things. I try to write music.
