Nice job so far! I think you got a cool atmosphere going here! Though I do think you could improve a lot, here are my tips:
-Stick to the regular DnB beat, .K___.S___.__K_.S___ (The "." marks the start of a new bar, the underscores are 1 beat)
-Get some more bass in there other than subs, it's clear there is some bass, just not terribly audible in the mixing.
-Improve the mixing, the song is pretty quiet, that often happens from cancellation, I can tell you really wanted room for the bass though! But just be sure to use up that space with louder bass (like growls, etc).
I really like what you got going though! Keep it up man :)

thanks for the response :)

I really like what you have going here! Some funky vibes, though I think you overdid the piano a bit, cuts off too sharply. But those vocals are great! This future house is pretty nice, I haven't heard any good future house in a long while, hope this genre makes a come back, which it seems to be doing already! Back to the track, the piano sounds a bit off-key around 1:15-1:17, which kind of interrupts the song awkwardly in my opinion. And the legato strings in the second build-up are really awkward on their own, especially the single note sweeping up extremely fast. Good job though dude! Hope to see more future house on NG :)

Schtiffles responds:

The part around 1:15 is actually a pitch shift of the entire song to distract from the key change of the interlude, but I agree it's awkward, I spent a long time trying to make it sound better but kinda gave up lol. Also, the quick-sweeping bits you mentioned aren't actually strings, they're just plain saws with reverb, and I really like the way they sound, but I guess it's just down to personal taste there haha (same with the piano cutoff, I find the glitchy effect to be satisfying :P). Thanks for the critique though, really appreciate it. I spent a long time on this one so I'm glad to see someone give it such a thorough listen :)

This is some amazing cinematic stuff man! I have been trying at this type of music for so long and you seemed to get it down! I love the use of strings and the sudden halts! The pluck is also very pretty, this would make for a great trailer! Though maybe up the volume a bit and make the percussion stand out more. Also the emotion shifts a bit awkwardly, but it's still great nonetheless!

Hi PassarinoT,

Thank you so much for such detailed review! I'm really glad you enjoyed the track, means a lot to me. And thanks for the advice also! I'll try to improve more on my future tracks.

Dang, I've heard some syncopated beats before but nothing compares to this! I love this beat and the piano with it, really something I could get down to! Though I do think the breaks in the beat are overly used but a nice touch at some points, and some of the vocals are out place. But this is a really nice track you got going here! I think maybe you should add in a chorus though, some bass would be nice too. Good job though!

Raular2003 responds:

Yeah, I know some vocals are off sync, but it was also my first time working with them. Thanks for the constructive review.

This is an amazing preview, can't believe you left me hanging with such a great few seconds! I need more! I would suggest though that you add some variation in the panning, that would be a nice touch. Some sidechain would be cool too maybe later on. Anyways, as this is just a preview I don't have much to say, but good job man!

ThiefOfVoid responds:

Oh, thanks man! I made this when I was lacking sleep (that's why it's only 22 seconds long). I'll keep your advice in mind for the full track though :)

Wow, really an amazing track! My only suggestions would be this:
-Make growls less repetitive.
-Add in some breaks for the plucks to have their shining moment, they are really nice sounding!
-Maybe add in a verse before the buildup that is more clearly existent, right now it just sounds like a lengthy intro.
-The mastering is great, it just seems to really favor the high end and not the bass.
But I love what you got going here! The growls are great! Keep up with this and you'll go places for sure! :D

CyborganicMusic responds:

awesome thanks for listening and thx for the feedback! <3

I really like the vibe you have going here with the water and the voice for the background with some bass, but those drums are a bit hurtful to this atmosphere, I suggest maybe using some more laidback drums. But I do like what you have going here! Keep it up :)

Kelpalots responds:

They are XLN drumkits, and they are pretty rock solid. ;] I wanted a bit of that 90s drum vibe, with the loud snares and hard kicks. I was very inspired to make Frank Klepacki styled music, since he also works with 90s vibes.

Wow this is a really cool start! My suggestion is make it louder, it's pretty quiet and I really enjoy it, just not having to turn up my earphones. For inspiration, I'd go take a peek at ODESZA's album "In Return", this track really reminded me of it. I hope to see more like this! :)

Wow, if this is the preview, I can't wait for the actual song! The growls are amazing and the beat just blends perfectly, the only issue I can find is the fade-in intro, I think the intro should be better, unless that is just part of the preview.

Haesoo responds:

Thank you for listening!
Unfortunately, I will be currently unable to change this fade-in part. But when i make a next track or preview, I will refer to it :)

It's a cool take on the mau5 style, but I think it could use some more work. Though I do really like the beat!

GeometryDashMau5Kids responds:

okey, thank :3

Not too good at things. I try to write music.
