A very fun tune! The mix is also kinda dynamic, so that is a good thing. Could always be more dynamic though! I like the melodies here. Certainly chiptune if I ever heard it. I dig it! keep up the good work.

If you read the description you can see what happened with the mix lol

Personally, this doesn't sound like any specific genre, rather a mix. But if you do not know what genre it is, then I suggest classifying it as an "original mix"! I like the concept here, sounds like a chill EDM track with a hint of trap to it. Your chords sound alright and your mix is not bad, but it could definitely be more dynamic, but it is a good step in the right direction! Keep it up!

Thanks, i really appreciate your comment. :)

I like the idea you have going man. Very nice, but I feel like more time should be invested in the mix and also making the chords more diverse and it is the same 2 chords over and over. But this does have potential! I was slightly confused when the buildup led to another buildup but that's a sorta uncommon thing but a unique way to go about buildups. I suggest maybe using more instruments too and a melody could make this very good too!

Lot7even responds:

Thanks for the review! As for the chords, you, I should fix that.

I like the idea you have going here! I think it just needs better execution, but we all start somewhere. Though it does sound extensively repetitive at times, it is a nice melody and has some calm vibes to it. It would be fun to remix for sure.

I like it! This is actually really cool what you did! I don't often see DnB when I am on NG, maybe just not looking hard enough, but you truly did capture the idea of chaos in this track. Though the bridge is really awkard, I feel like those two could be good different songs. The percussion in the bridge is also a bit awkward though. Also you didn't really have a terribly exciting buildup, I would suggest more risers and making the range more dynamic and maybe adding a highpass leading up to the drop.

Thanks for the review! I’ll consider what you have said and try to improve on them if those problems arise. There were definitely were some problems with transitioning out of the bridged midsection. So yeah, i’m glad you came to criticise. :P

A fun track indeed! Your mix could definitely use some working on, as there is lots of room left empty that could make the range of this song far more dynamic. I like what you did with the drop but it also seems unpredictable at moments. Which, believe it or not, is not what dubstep is usually about. Anyways I hope you consider these when making your next song! I like what I heard for the melody!

Oh worm? Did you get the rights to it finally or did you just upload as a bootleg? But I do like it. There seems to be some issues in the mix with the vocals but that's a hardly noticeable thing. It would have been nice to have included some aspects of the original track in the drop but in the meantime I like what you did with that dubstep. Loving the sound design! I also feel like this track was better on it's own as 'Rampage' without the vocals due to the slowed nature of them but respect for remixing it!

Interesting take, starting with a drop. But I feel like your mix is absolutely killing you here. I think you should invest more time when mixing your songs, this is so compressed and has little to no dynamic range. Also, maybe work on those transitions a bit more? Those two things could make this song an absolute banger.

I love it so much man! But I also a, giving it a 4.5 as I feel like one of your strengths is also a weakness at the same time. That is not saying it is bad! But, to me, it sounds as though you always keep the same general sounds/instruments and it is a good style, it is almost nostalgic to me at this point! But at 1:10, I almost overhear that same type of buildup from you in most songs, and while you absolutely kill it with that type of buildup in the best way, it would be nice to see you do something else! :) But your mixing is on fucking point man! And same with your orchestral sections :P

Geoplex responds:

So I do think you're right. I use my distorted long release lead in those buildups a lot too. I think they vary in unimportant ways but are fundamentally similar. The new song I'm releasing this week has a buildup like this, but after that I'll more consciously try to vary them a bit.

Thanks for the feedback my dude

Love the pitchy-ness to the melody! Kind of reminds me of this word, Raga, to tinge with emotion. I really love it. Almost nostalgic sort of.

Not too good at things. I try to write music.
